So General Synod gathers at it's usual summer residence of York University this week from Friday 4 July - not exactly Independence Day.
An extraordinary amount is going on in Church of England and Anglican circles at the moment. The GAFCon gathering is drawing to a close; Lambeth is just coming up; rumours of splits and divisions or churches within churches are rife - though I suspect that most ordinary church members are more focussed on rather different agenda.
Thinking Anglicans is one of the most useful complete one-stop resources for Synod watchers, and have a list of the full agenda and papers. I am sure Simon & Peter will keep their usual regular reports up-to-date as Synod starts.
Many of the commentators in the 'Blog Roll' in the right-hand column will also be posting throughout Synod.
Reasonable wifi access and powerpoints being possible, so will I.
